Isn't this the picture of adorableness? Look! Turtles do close their eyes when they sleep. We are going to miss our wugui (turtles) when we move from Shanghai. They may not be the most cuddly of creatures, but they do have a way of burrowing into your heart.
Today I am thankful for all things Cute that make me smile.
Oooh, cute overload. I had a turtle like this when I was about two, but my mother heard they cause salmonella, so one day after nap, it had mysteriously disappeared...
ReplyDeleteI hope you get one when you get back to Seattle. We need small things around that look helpless but aren't to remind us of the truths about ourselves - that we all need a little help, but we're also often more okay than we might think.
Awww, SO cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, Tina, what a beautiful photo! Reminds me a bit of the Owen & Mzee story (though completely different!).
ReplyDeleteOh my! It almost doesn't look real, but couldn't be more sweet. A great reminder to appreciate such things!
ReplyDeleteAs a 'global citizen' carted hither and yon we weren't able to have pets OTHER than fish or turtles for quite awhile, so 'Frisky & Susan' were my pals throughout my early years in Hawaii (Frisky was the escape artist who ended up gawd only knows where)
ReplyDeleteThat photo looks art directed it's shot with such a gorgeous color palette! Hey, a new book cover! ;-)
