Consulting

Alongside writing novels, my next great passion is working with wonderful leaders who want to change the world. Whether incendiary corporate head honchos or founders of truly amazing non-profit organizations, these are Leaders who understand the power of telling the right story in the right way at the right time.

I love enhancing leaders’ effectiveness through their words and actions. That includes building them a powerful presidential platform, one that says, This is who I am. This is what I believe. This is why I’m here now.  And it means enabling leaders to turn a moment on stage into an electrifying movement of change—all with an emotionally resonant and information-engaging speech.

Previously, I was the speechwriter and executive communications manager for a President of Microsoft who had this to say: “I am completely clear that my improvement as a speaker is directly correlated with Justina’s new approach, her meticulous writing, and the
new visual style."

EXECUTIVE COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTING
I relish working with executives and their communications teams to find, distill, and tell meaningful stories. My core offerings include:

  • developing an arsenal of personal leadership stories
  • crafting colorful and meaningful product stories
  • architecting presidential platforms that define a leader’s mission and style
  • creating corporate mythology that resonates powerfully with customers and employees alike
  • writing impactful speeches that rivet an audience’s attention

PRESENTATIONS + WORKSHOPS
I also give keynote speeches on storytelling, and conduct storytelling workshops, drawing from my experience in writing both critically-acclaimed novels and crafting Tweet-worthy C-suite-level speeches. I’ve presented at prestigious venues, including the Mayo Clinic, NASDAQ, SAS, and Microsoft.

“In a spectacular closing keynote at the 2012 Ragan Speechwriters Conference, Justina Chen celebrated The Heart of Storytelling. I believe there was sufficient content in Justina Chen’s keynote to justify the cost of attending the entire conference.” –Ian Griffin, speechwriter
